The NBA president, Mr Maikyau, honored the late Mr Akeredolu, taking note of that he was "one of the most compelling and gutsy presidents ever to lead the NBA."


The Leader of the Nigerian Bar Affiliation (NBA), Yakubu Maikyau, on Friday, drove a designation on a sympathy visit to the group of the late previous Ondo State Lead representative Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.


Mr Akeredolu, who was the legislative leader of Ondo State and a previous NBA president, passed on from prostate disease on 27 December 2023. PREMIUM TIMES announced how his remaining parts showed up in Nigeria on Friday from Germany, where he passed on.


Mr Maikyau, alongside certain authorities of the NBA, including the Overall Secretary, Adesina Adegbite, the third VP, Amanda Demechi-Asagba, the Government assistance Secretary, Chinyere Obasi, paid a sympathy visit to the Akeredolus at their home in Ibadan, the Oyo State, on Friday.

Mr Maikyau, a Senior Supporter of Nigeria like Mr Akeredolu, marked a sympathy register during the visit.


The Public Exposure Secretary of the NBA, Akorede Lawal, caught a few features of the visit in an explanation imparted to PREMIUM TIMES on Saturday.



He petitioned God for comfort and solace for the dispossessed family, associates, and companions of the withdrew pioneer.

"Lead representative Akeredolu's heritage in propelling the reason for equity and common freedoms stays a motivation for all of us. His indefatigable commitment has made a permanent imprint on the lawful society.


"We stand joined in giving proper respect to a momentous pioneer whose obligation to law and order will be recognized as a foundation of his significant residency," he said.


The NBA assignment's presence was gotten by Mr Akeredoy's widow, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, and different individuals from the Akeredolu family.


In appreciation for the signal, the family communicated appreciation to the NBA for the visit at such a troublesome time.


Lead representative Akeredolu's residency as the 24th NBA president from 2008 to 2010, was set apart by an enduring backing for regard for law and order, powerful organization of equity, and the security of basic freedoms.


As lead representative, Mr Akeredolu was famous for his courageous calls for adherence to law and order, political fair play and obligation to security, which added to the foundation of the territorial security organization, codenamed Amotekun, across South-west states.
